Michigan County Road Funding Lagging, Needs to $2.4B in Additional Annual Funding

MICHIGAN, Feb. 22, 2024 ~ A new report from the County Road Association of Michigan found that the state of Michigan would need $2.4 billion of additional funding to meet its goals of fixing its county roadways. Filling the funding gap would make 90% of Michigan’s federal-aid-eligible roads and 60% of non-federal-aid-eligible roads to good or fair ratings.
