Wayne County Executive Evans Warns of Disconnect Between Democrats and Black Voters

DETROIT, March 11, 2024 ~ Wayne County Executive Warren Evans wrote an op-ed for the Detroit Free Press last week, expressing in the piece his concerns that the Democratic Party is failing to adequately engage with the Black community and their elected leaders. 

There’s real concern with the party,” Evens said Monday on “’JR Morning with Guy Gordon, Lloyd Jackson, and Jamie Edmonds.” “I have been in this elective office for 10 years and I have no relationship of any substance with the Michigan Democratic Party.”
