TROY, MI, March 29, 2024 ~ The University of Michigan‘s health care system is expanding into Oakland County with plans to open a new facility in a long-vacant space.
U-M purchased a portion of the lot containing the former Kmart headquarters at 3100 West Big Beaver Road in Troy, near the Somerset Collection, for $4.2 million. Michigan Medicine Chief Strategy Officer Keith Dickey told WJR‘s Guy Gordon, Lloyd Jackson, and Jamie Edmonds, “By building out this facility, we’re bringing our world-class, expertise and care closer to the to the folks who live in the communities of Oakland County.“
