PONTIAC, April 8, 2024 ~ On Tuesday, the parents of the Oxford High School shooter will learn their fate for the role they played in their son’s crime that ended with the shooting deaths of four students.
James and Jennifer Crumbley were both found guilty of four counts of involuntary manslaughter in separate trials. The prosecution has asked the judge to impose a sentence between 10 and 15 years for each count that would run concurrently.

(CONTINUED) Defense attorneys have asked the judge to impose a sentence of time served, which for both has been over two years. The state has recommended a sentence range of 43 to 86 months, about 7 years for both parents.
The sentencing is expected to include victim impact statements. Proceedings are scheduled to start at 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.
