MICHIGAN, May 1, 2024 ~ Michigan tourism groups are celebrating the Pure Michigan campaign receiving a proposed $50 million in state funding.

The Michigan House Appropriations Committee proposed the $50 million last week, according to UpNorthLive. Michigan Restaurant and Lodging Association President Justin Winslow told Guy Gordon, Lloyd Jackson, and Jamie Edmonds that, “I’m hearing from a few of our members that bookings aren’t quite as strong as they have been in the last couple of years. Part of that is we haven’t had a robust campaign beyond the state lines of Michigan, encouraging people to come to the best state in the country.
