Toyota Halts Shipments on Some Vehicles Due to Faulty Safety Tests

June 4, 2024 ~ Scandal continues to surround carmakers in Japan as shipments of some Toyota and Mazda vehicles have been halted over fraudulent safety tests.

Recently, Japan’s transportation ministry found errors and falsified data in some model certification submissions from multiple automakers. The ministry also found irregularities in vehicle applications from Honda, Suzuki, and Yamaha.
