Kamala Harris Faces Pro-Palestinian Protest During Detroit Visit

DETROIT, June 10, 2024 ~ Vice President Kamala Harris made a campaign stop Saturday in Detroit, where she was met by about 100 pro-Palestinian protestors outside of where she was speaking.

Harris’s speech was briefly interrupted by a heckler angered over her support of Israel‘s military bombardment in Gaza during a Michigan Democratic Party dinner at Huntington Place, before the heckler was escorted out of the building. Her visit to Detroit came on the same day that Israeli forces killed over 270 Palestinians while rescuing four of its hostages in Gaza kept by Hamas, drawing widespread condemnation by activists and political leaders, many calling it a “massacre.” there are reports that the U.S. helped Israel with the operation by providing intelligence for the raid.
