June 11, 2024 ~ A federally-appointed monitor who looks into potential corruption in the UAW is investigating its President Shawn Fain, according to a court filing from Monday.
The investigation comes after the union shook up its leadership a few months ago, and is looking into whether Fain misused his power as president. The court filing also accuses union leaders of not cooperating and obstructing the investigation, which the union denies.
