Michigan Strategic Funds Slash Taxpayer Funds to Ford After Automaker Scales Back EV Projects

DEARBORN, July 10, 2024 ~ The Michigan Strategic Fund greatly slashed public funding to Ford Motor Co. after it scaled back electric vehicle projects.

Initial plans for the Blue Oval Battery Park near Marshall have been reduced in scale since plans were introduced by Ford, both in economic investments and job creation. This led the MSF to reduce the initial $1.03 billion of taxpayer incentives down to $409.1 million on Tuesday.
