SORIN KOSZYK | GROSSE POINTE PARK

Sorin Koszyk (pictured right) started his journey in rowing in 2013 with the Detroit Waterfront Rowing Association, where he quickly set his sights on achieving greatness in the sport.

During his junior year at Grosse Pointe South High School, Sorin made a remarkable entrance into the rowing scene. He secured six Club National Championships with the Detroit Boat Club and triumphed in three Midwest Championships.


August 1, 2024 ~ Grosse Pointe‘s Sorin Koszyk and his teammate Ben Davison finished fourth in the Men’s Double Sculls Finals this morning at the Paris Olympics. (CONTINUED) After graduating from Grosse Pointe South in 2016, Sorin attended Cornell University, where he continued to excel. By the time he graduated in 2020, he had amassed an impressive list of accolades, including being an Ivy League Champion, First Team All-Ivy, a two-time Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Champion, and a two-time IRA Crew of the Year honoree.

Sorin, partnered with Ben Davison (pictured left), placed fourth in the Men’s Double Sculls Final on Thursday morning, finishing behind Ireland by less than two seconds at 6:17:02.
