DETROIT, July 30, 2024 – The 21st Annual Paul W. Smith Golf Classic has once again proven to be a driving force for good, raising over $9 million for children’s charities since its inception. This year’s event alone chipped in a remarkable $407,000, benefiting The Children’s Foundation, Detroit PAL, The Children’s Center, and Variety, the Children’s Charity of Detroit. These organizations collectively serve 55,000 youth in Southeast Michigan.

The historic Country Club of Detroit played host to this year’s Classic, featuring both morning and afternoon golf flights, followed by a lunch and cocktail reception. The event’s success was bolstered by the steadfast support of sponsors like Ford Motor Company and 760 WJR, who have been on board since the very first swing in 2004.
