FLINT, Aug. 26, 2024 ~ The Michigan GOP Convention highlighted divisions within the party Saturday, including its former chairperson being escorted away by security.

Former Michigan GOP Chair Kristina Karamo was kicked out of the convention in the Dart Financial Center in Flint, who said she was their to support Michigan Supreme Court candidate Alexandria Taylor, who failed to garner enough delegate support to make it to the ballot. Karamo was booted from her leadership role in Janurary due to criticisms of how she handled party finances, and was later replaced by former Congressman Pete Hoekstra, who faced scattered boos at the convention.
