ANN ARBOR, Aug. 29, 2024 ~ Days after the 2024-25 school year began, four pro-Palestinian activists were arrested Wednesday after disrupting a University of Michigan event in the latest incident regarding Israel-Palestine protests on campus.

During Festifall, an event that lets student groups promote themselves, dozens of protestors hosted a “die-in” on the University Diag to represent the tens of thousands of Palestinians slain in Israel‘s bombardment of Gaza. The demonstration remained peaceful before a dispersal order was given by university police due to the protestors blocking some pedestrian traffic, with the arrests made after. All four activists who were arrested were released by Thursday afternoon, with none of them being students.
