EAST LANSING, September 27, 2024 ~ Michigan State Football (3-1) will come back to East Lansing tomorrow night for a showdown under the lights at Spartan Stadium against the No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes (4-0).

After a tight four point loss at Boston College last weekend, the green and white will try to regroup and play upset to one of the top ranked teams in all of the country.

The Spartan defense has been a strong point for the team this season, as they are tied for second in the FBS in sacks with 15 tallied so far. The unit is also tied for fifth in red zone defense and 14th in total defense with an average of 255 yards allowed per game.

Sophomore quarterback Aidan Chiles continued his turnover problem in the fourth game of 2024, throwing three interceptions against the Eagles last Saturday. The underclassman and his group can’t afford to repeat a similar performance if they would like to shock the college football world.

MSU will honor the winningest football coach in school history, Mark Dantonio, during the game after his selection to the 2024 Class of the College Football Hall of Fame

(CONTINUED) Out of the 10 wins Michigan State has over the Buckeyes when they are ranked in the AP Top 25, two come from the Dantonio era. Both OSU teams were ranked as the second best in the country when the Spartans toppled them in 2013 and 2015.

The Spartans are losers of eight straight against Ohio State but have a chance to put an end to the streak this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Stay tuned for our Tailgate Show starting at 4 p.m. on Munn Field. Listen live at https://www.wjr.com
