DETROIT, Oct. 17, 2024 ~ Detroit Police Chief James White has been named CEO of Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network.
A month ago, White said he applied for the top job at the state’s largest regional behavioral mental health network. White, a 26-year veteran of the Detroit Police Department, took the lead of the department in 2021 when former Chief James Craig left to run for governor. Violent crime in the city dropped each year during White’s tenure as chief, according to the Detroit Police Department.
