WJR Honors the 2024 Women Who Lead

DETROIT, Nov. 1, 2024 ~ On Friday, WJR honored ten women leaders in Michigan at the 2024 Women Who Lead Honoree Lunch.

The 14th annual Women Who Lead Lunch took place at Joe Muer Seafood inside the GM Renaissance Center in Detroit, recognizing the work of various women in local nonprofits businesses, and education institutions. The honorees were interviewed live on WJR’s “Focus with Paul W. Smith” with guest co-host Luanne Thomas Ewald.

Each year, WJR chooses 12 women to feature in its monthly program, “Women Who Lead,” hosted by the station’s Program Director Ann Thomas. The women honored at the event were:

  • New Detroit Inc. President and CEO Shirley Stancato.
  • Henry Ford Center for Integrative Medicine Functional Medicine program leader Dr. Elizabeth Swenor.
  • Ernst & Young Managing Partner Angie Kelly.
  • Franco owner Tina Kozak.
  • University of Michigan Health Women’s Health Division Director Dr. Rosalyn Maben-Feaster.
  • Michigan Central COO Carolina Pluszczynski.
  • Solutions for Energy Efficient Logistics President E’Lois Thomas.
  • Sam Bernstein Law Firm President Rebecca Sposita.
  • Ford Philanthropy President Mary Culler.
  • Detroit Dog Rescue Executive Director Kristina Millman-Rinaldi.

Wayne State University President Dr. Kimberly Andrews Espy and DTE Project Management Office Senior Vice President Renee Tomina were also featured under Women Who Lead this year, but could not attend the event.

Nov. 1, 2024 ~Dr. Rosalyn Maben Feaster, Michigan Medicine associate director of the Women’s Health Division, is a 2024 Women Who Lead honoree.
