Nov. 5, 2024 ~ The 2024 U.S. presidential election may have big consequences on the auto industry, particularly with electric vehicles.
Detroit News columnist Daniel Howes told WJR that, “The auto industry is looking at two diametrically opposed visions of the industry. Donald Trump is very much stuck in the fossil fuel, the business that we have known in this town for decades and decades and decades, (which) has essentially seeded electric vehicle development and production to the Chinese.
“Kamala Harris, the expectation is that it would be more of the same Biden policies, that there would be continued support and government subsidies of various kinds, both for producers and consumers of electric vehicles of all kinds.“
