MICHIGAN, Nov. 6, 2024 ~ Democrat U.S. Senate candidate and Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin took control of Michigan‘s vacant U.S. Senate seat after a nail-biter of a race in the polls.
Slotkin and the former Congressman Mike Rogers were in a statistical dead heat for much of Wednesday until the Associated Press called the race in the afternoon. Slotkin won the race narrowly at 48.6%, though the balance of power in the Senate was decided Tuesday night in favor of the Republicans.
THANK YOU, MICHIGAN! I am so honored to be the next Senator from the great state of Michigan and to follow in the footsteps of the great @Stabenow.
