Dearborn Flips for Trump Due to Anger Over Assault on Gaza

DEARBORN, Nov. 7, 2024 ~ Donald Trump made significant gains with the Michigan Arab American community, winning the largest Muslim-majority city in the country, due to Israel‘s brutal assault on Gaza and Lebanon.

Trump won 42.48% of the vote over Kamala Harris‘ 36.26%, according to the Detroit Free Press, with Green Party candidate and pro-Palestine advocate Jill Stein receiving 18.37%. Osama Siblani, the publisher of the Arab American News, told WJR, “People are angry and not only about Gaza, but about a lot of other stuff, inflation. Joe Biden has been a disastrous president in my opinion, and I am sorry that I endorsed him in 2020 because I do not want to see another term of Donald Trump. However, having said that, I accept what the people have decided.“
