DETROIT, Jan. 7, 2025 ~ President-elect Donald Trump made many promises specific to Michigan during his campaign. But how many of them will he fulfill?
Bridge Michigan reporter Mike Wilkinson recently compiled 100 campaign promises Trump made in or about the Great Lakes state, including that he would “save” the Michigan auto industry, ditch electric vehicle mandates, and get rid of sanctuary cities for refugees. Wilkinson told WJR, “We went through this in 2016 during his first presidency, you know, do you take him literally or do you take him figuratively? You can see a lot of people going, ‘Maybe it’s hyperbole and exaggeration, which some point out, he’s very prone to.‘”
