DETROIT, Jan. 14, 2025 ~ The Los Angeles Rams handled the Minnesota Vikings 27-9 to advance to the NFC Divisional Round in Glendale, Arizona Monday night. The game was originally scheduled to be played in Los Angeles, but the wildfires forced the last Monday Night Football game of the season to be moved to State Farm Stadium

Former Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was on point against an aggressive Vikings defense all night long, throwing two touchdowns to go with 209 passing yards.

Minnesota’s offense fared the same against the Rams compared to the Lions game the week before, as quarterback Sam Darnold turned the ball over multiple times under significant pressure. The Rams defense combined for a total of nine sacks, making it tough on Darnold to be comfortable in the pocket.

L.A. running back Kyren Williams rushed for a total of 76 yards, while also catching the opening touchdown of the game from five yards out.

After the DetroitWashington showdown this Saturday night to determine if the Lions will host the NFC Championship at Ford Field, the final spot will be decided in Philadelphia as the top-seeded Eagles will host the Rams next Sunday
