MICHIGAN, Feb. 10, 2025 ~ Michigan continued the cord-cutting trend in 2024, with the state seeing another significant drop in cable subscriptions.
Bridge Michigan reported last week that cable subscriptions fell by about 190,000 in 2024, a 15% decrease. The state saw an overall decrease of 1.1 million cable subscriptions, with Bridge Michigan reporter Mike Wilkinson telling WJR more consumers are favoring online video streaming platforms like Hulu, YouTube, and Netflix.
