Michigan House Approves State Income Tax Cut

LANSING, March 19, 2025 ~ The Michigan House voted to reduce the state’s flat income tax from 4.25% to 4.05% on Tuesday.

House members approved the tax cut in a 65-43 vote, with seven Democrats joining the GOP to approve the bill. The GOP-supported bill has an unclear fate in the Democrat-controlled State Senate, with no clear support in the legislative body.
