WASHINGTON D.C., March 25, 2025 ~ Federal officials are expressing frustration over Trump administration officials accidentally adding The Atlantic Editor-In-Chief Jeffrey Goldberg to a group chat discussing U.S. air strike plans in Yemen.

One of those officials is U.S. Rep. Debbie Dingell (MI-6), who expressed outrage over the incident widely seen as one that could have jeopardized national security. The group discussed what would be airstrikes targeting Houthi rebels, who have imposed a Red Sea blockade targeting ships connected to Israel amid its invasion of the Gaza Strip. The airstrikes killed 53 people, including children.

This should never be a partisan issue,” Dingell told WJR. “National security is about keeping all of us safe. All of us know that when you’re a member of Congress, when you’re in the administration, there are top secret high security clearance issues that you only discuss in certain circumstances.
