April 3, 2025 ~ New auto tariffs announced by President Donald Trump went into effect Thursday, with auto analysts warning of significant price hikes on new cars.

All cars imported into the U.S. from any country will face a 25% tariff, with a similar tariff for auto parts set to take place on May 3. While Trump said these tariffs are meant to create a surge in domestic car production, many auto analysts predict that car buyers can expect to pay thousands more for cars due to the tariffs.
