EAST LANSING, April 8, 2025 ~ Michigan State Men’s Basketball freshman guard Jase Richardson officially declared for the NBA Draft Tuesday afternoon. The projected top-14 pick averaged 12.1 points per game, while grabbing 3.3 rebounds, and dishing out 1.9 assists.

The 19-year has been the definition of efficient since he stepped into the starting lineup midway through the season. He shot close to 50% from the field and 41% from 3-point range, while knocking down free throws at an 83.6% rate.

Richardson also picked up Big Ten All-Freshman Team and third team all-conference nominations.

(CONTINUED) Stepping into a bigger role with more minutes halfway into the season, the son of NBA star Jason Richardson blossomed into the go-to guy for Head Coach Tom Izzo when his team needed a score.

With Richardson entering his name into the draft and former Spartans forward Xavier Booker officially heading to UCLA through the transfer portal, there are multiple open positions on the roster that will need to be filled.

The NBA Lottery will determine exactly where Richardson’s best fit will be on May 12
