BERKLEY, MI, April 14, 2025 ~ One of Detroit‘s most iconic restaurants is slated to open a new location in the suburbs as part of celebrating its 20th anniversary.
Slows BBQ will open on 12 Mile Road in downtown Berkley in a space previously occupied by the Berkley Common. Co-owners Brian Perone and Josh Keller said Slows will bring its nationally acclaimed chef-driven BBQ, craft beers, and flavors to the new location slated to open later this year. The first Slows location opened on Michigan Avenue in 2005 when few dining options were in the area, and quickly made its culinary mark at the national level for specialty dishes like its mac and cheese and the Yardbird sandwich.
