MACOMB COUNTY, April 14, 2025 ~ Shortly after Gov. Gretchen Whitmer visited the Oval Office last week, President Donald Trump is floating the possibility of a new mission for Selfridge Air National Guard Base.
Following the meeting with Whitmer and majority State House Speaker Matt Hall, Trump said his administration is considering housings mission for the F-16 and F-35 at Selfridge. he added that the two Michigan politicians were strongly advocating for the airbase, and had positive reactions to the meeting.
