MICHIGAN, April 15, 2025 ~ Dozens of Michigan Immigrant Rights Center workers were laid off last week across the state after the Trump administration cut program funding to the organization.
The center announced 72 workers, about half of its total employees, would be laid off, with programs that help undocumented immigrant children get legal help. This come as President Donald Trump is making sweeping federal budget cuts and imposing harsh crackdowns on immigrants, including those with legal residency statuses.
