Mike Rogers to Run for Michigan’s U.S. Senate Seat Again

MICHIGAN, April 15, 2025 ~ Former U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers of Michigan is running for the state’s open senate seat again after Sen. Gary Peters (MI-D) announced his plan to not run in 2026.

Rogers is the first to officially declare his candidacy in the Republican primary, with State Sen. Mallory McMorrow (D-Royal Oak) the only Democrat candidate so far. Rogers ran as the Republican candidate in the general election for Michigan’s senate seat in 2024, narrowly losing to then U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin.
