A man has been charged for the shooting death of Wayne State University police Officer Collin Rose.
31 year old Deangelo Davis of Detroit, has been charged with first-degree murder, felony firearm, murder of a police officer, felony firearm, and felon in possession of a firearm.
Davis is a convicted felon, for previous run-ins and fights with police.
Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy said in a statement, “This case strongly illustrates the dangers that police officers face every minute of every day.”
A GoFundMe page was started by a student to help raise money for Rose’s fiancée.
