Floyd Dent has settled his lawsuit against the city of Inkster for being assaulted during a traffic stop by police. Lawyers say the settlement is for 1.4 million dollars. A preliminary examination has been scheduled for Thursday for former Inkster police officer William Melendez who punched Dent, prompting the charges and the lawsuit.
