Ford Motor Company will be opening up its electric vehicle patents to competitors. Executive Chairman Bill Ford, talking to Paul W. Smith at the Mackinac Policy Conference on Thursday, said he wants to foster growth in electric technology. Ford also plans to hire 200 engineers to work in Dearborn on electrification programs.
