A preliminary exam is scheduled for two of three men charged in the killing of a young Detroit father at an east side gas station.
24 year old Javon Perry was pump gas at about 12;30 in the morning at a service station on Gratiot earlier this month.

Police say 22 year old Derrick Everson and 23 year old Kyrell Alonzo, both of Detroit, approached him in what appears to have been a robbery and

carjacking attempt, that Perry attempted to run away, that the two men chased him and that Everson shot him several times.

A third man has also been charged with murder.

Police say 26 year old Joseph Lucas drove the others to the gas station.

He’s being held in the Wayne County jail.
