Auto Sales Weaker In January

It’s a sluggish start of the new year for auto sales.
The Detroit-3 were down.
GM dropped nearly 4-percent.
Ford down less than 1-percent.
Fiat Chrysler lost 11-percent compared to last year.

U.S. light-vehicle sales will fall slightly — by no more than 3 percent — last month compared with January 2016, according to analysts.
January is typically the weakest sales month of the year.

Nissan had the biggest gain of any automaker, with sales up more than 5-percent.
