An Eastpointe man is scheduled to be sentenced today for torturing his three year old bull mastiff dog.
25 year old John Sporer was convicted by a Macomb County Circuit Court jury of a four-year felony.
His attack had been captured on camera beating the dog by a neighbor who turned the pictures over to police.
The dog was released to the Bed and Biscuit Pet Lodging in Clinton Township and is said to be doing well.
