School Closure Update regarding – BOIL WATER ADVISORY
The Great Lakes Water Authority issued a Boil Water Advisory for the Detroit, Hamtramck
and Highland Park areas. This Advisory is in effect for the areas south of West McNichols and
West of Conner in Detroit and closest to Hamtramck and has affected 26 Detroit Public Schools
Community District schools.
As a further precautionary measure the district has made the decision to close the 26 schools in the affected area and to err on the side of caution.
