Huge Outages Due To Wind Storm

High winds are causing havoc in the Detroit area and southern Michigan.

The region remains under a high wind warning.

Power outages are over 500 thousand homes and businesses in southern Michigan, according to figures from DTE Energy and Consumers Energy.

There are numerous reports of trees and power lines down, and property damage.

Even the DTE outage map online is down, along with the DTE web site.

The high wind warning is in effect until 7 pm.
