Mayor Mike Duggan says there’s a better way for Detroit residents to get cheaper auto insurance. The mayor has released details of D-Insurance. Car insurance rates for Detroit residents are among the highest in the nation. Duggan has asked state lawmakers to approve the car insurance program and legislation is currently under consideration in Lansing. A senate insurance committee already has approved it.
