Open Carry Case In Court

They say they were exercising their open carry rights.
A preliminary exam is scheduled for two men who walked into the Dearborn Police Department with firearms and wearing masks and tactical vests.

40 year old Brandon Vreeland of Jackson and 24 year old James Baker of Leonard were arrested on February 5th.

It started earlier with police investigating reports of two men seen wearing their masks and vests at a shopping area near Ford and Southfield.

When police arrived, the men were gone.

A police sergeant later spotted their car in a park a few miles away.

He conducted a brief traffic stop, but released them after not seeing any weapons.

It was following that incident that the men went into police headquarters.

They’ve been charged with carrying a concealed weapon, resisting arrest and disturbing the peace.
