Sentencing In Murder Of Fireman

The last of 3 people convicted of the murder of a Detroit fire-fighter has been sentenced.

Nicole O’Neill will serve 20 to 50 years in prison for her role in the robbery and killing of 59 year old David Madrigal, a 26 year veteran of the Detroit Fire Department. He was beaten to death at his home in December 2015.
The house was then set on fire.
O’Neill pleaded guilty to 2nd degree murder. Other charges were dropped.
The victim’s daughter told the court the punishment was not enough.

O’Neill was the girlfriend of one of two men who also took plea deals and are doing long prison terms.
