Oakland County Sheriff’s Office releases sketch of man impersonating police officer

OSCOHighlandThe Oakland County Sheriff’s office has released a composite sketch of a man accused of impersonating a law enforcement officer in Highland Township. Police say a 23-year-old man was pulled over by another man who was not in a police uniform but was driving an older model Ford Crown Victoria with a blue strobe light. The man asked for the driver’s license and registration–then told him he was giving him a warning. The man was wearing a baseball cap with the word “sheriff” on the front.

Anyone who may have information regarding the suspect is asked to call the Sheriff’s tip line at 1-888-TURN-1-IN. There is a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
