Authorities in west Michigan are pondering what to do after a 1-year-old boy was found dead in the home of a day care provider.
Police have a suspect. The suspect is 8 years old.
The 1 year old boy was found dead in the home of a day care provider last Friday in Muskegon where police say children were left unsupervised for an unspecified amount of time. The suspect is an 8-year-old girl. Police say the primary witness is age 5.
Police believe the 1 year old wouldn’t stop crying and the 8 year old responded. Police do not reveal the cause of death. the baby’s body was found in a bedroom. The 8 year old tried to hide the body.
The 8 year old was taken for a mental evaluation. Authorities have yet to determine any charges. One other possible target is the operator of the day care home, for possible neglect.
