School Millage And Bond Elections Today

Ten Detroit-area school districts are holding millage elections today.
The biggest proposal on the ballot is in West Bloomfield, where the district is asking voters to approve a 20-year, 120 million dollar proposal that would include the building of a middle school
Warren Consolidated district is asking voters to renew two operating millages.

In Macomb county, the Chippewa Valley Schools is seeking a 25-year, 89.9 million dollar bond.

Center Line is seeking a bond of almost 58 million dollars to build a new elementary school.

The Fraser schools are seeking a 30 year bond of 29.4 million dollars for updating school facilities.

The Anchor Bay district has a similar request on a 26.6 million dollar bond issue.

The Memphis and New Haven districts are seeking smaller 1 mill and 1.5 mill increases for facility upgrades.

In Wayne County, Lincoln Park schools is seeking a renewal; and an increase of an operating millage and the Melvindale-North Allen Park schools are asking for a renewal of an 18-mill operating millage.
