Collisions And Fatalities Climb In Michigan

More of us are crashing and dying on Michigan roads.
Traffic deaths increased for the second straight year in 2016, according to the Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning. Traffic fatalities increased 10 percent from 963 in 2015 to 1,064 in 2016.

Crashes and injuries were also up 5-percent in 2016.

Injuries, up 8 percent.
Serious injuries up 16 percent.
Alcohol-involved traffic deaths fell 11 percent.
