Kildee Kills Candidacy

Cong. Dan Kildee, D-Flint Township has ruled out a run for governor, deciding instead to seek a fourth term in Congress. His decision not to run was first reported by MIRS news service in Lansing.

Kildee’s decision will leave former state Sen. Gretchen Whitmer as the highest profile candidate seeking the Democratic nomination. The election is next year.
