Detroit Public Schools face a critical teacher shortage.
The district will attempt to fill some of the openings with the first of several recruitment fairs.
Those who attend will have a chance to meet with principals to discuss vacancies . The event will be held between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Martin Luther King High School. Open positions exist across the K-12 system. Open positions include math, science, foreign languages and special courses.
