A Detroit woman is dead after a slip and fall in her bathroom— but police had to take her from her house which was full of dogs.
Police say they had to struggle to get into the house on Hamburg on Detroit’s east side. The dogs are being taken out one dog at a time. Police say they think the woman was badly hurt when she fell in her shower. Police got a 911 call from a neighbor who said the woman’s daughter ran to the house asking for help. Neighbors say they occasionally noticed a horrible stench coming from the dog house, but the dogs were never seen outside. Police say they are being helped in removal of the dogs by 3 adult family members who live there.
The cause of death may be determined from an autopsy.
