Two of the numerous Macomb County local officials caught up in a federal investigation into a trash hauling bribery scheme are scheduled to be sentenced today.
Former New Haven trustees Christopher Craigmiles and Bret Harris previous pled guilty to accepting thousands of dollars in bribes from an undercover agent in exchange for their vote
on what they thought was a future trash hauling contract with the Rizzo company.
The federal investigation has been ongoing for over eight months and has impacted numerous local officials.
