Bizarre Stalker Due In Waterford Court

A 34 year old Waterford woman is due in court today for a preliminary exam on three felony charges.
Police say a 17 year old girl had returned home just after midnight back on May 31st and told her mother she had been followed home.

Police were called and when they arrived, they found 34 year old Tiffany Edwards her parked in a vacant home next door.

Police ordered her out of the car, but she sped away, hitting one officer and knocking him onto the hood of her car.

Police fired several shots at the car.

Another patrol car spotted her.  She left her car at a dead end and tried to flee on foot, but was found a short time later with the use of a police tracking dog.

The officer who was hit did not suffer any life-threatening injuries.

There has been no word on why Edwards had been following the teenaged girl.
